Waves of scattered showers, storms expected - CM ☁️
SUNDAY
A front nearby is teaming up with the humidity that’s recently arrived. This will bring us randomly-timed scattered showers. It won’t rain the entire day at your location.
Highs only reach 71-77 due to the increased cloud cover.
MONDAY & TUESDAY
This front drifts north. South of it, we’ll be warmer and slightly more humid. Highs reach the low to mid 80s each afternoon. Subtle rising motion in the atmosphere will bring the chance of hit-or-miss storms.
These will mostly form near the spine of the Blue Ridge after 1 or 2 p.m. each day before drifting east.
The threat for widespread severe weather is low.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
An area of low pressure thousands of feet above us will swing to our north. Energy to its south will provide us with the increased chance for showers Wednesday with the potential for additional storms Thursday.
Wednesday won’t be as warm, but Thursday and Friday will be well into the 80s.
Friday looks drier, thanks to a breeze coming down the mountains.
WEEKEND
This area of low pressure will stay to our north. We’ll stay warm and fairly humid.
Energy associated with this low pressure system might be enough to trigger scattered showers and storms into the weekend. Stand by for updates.
